Campanile Millau Hotel, Millau

The hotel is conveniently located in a business park above the town, providing easy access to the bridge for sightseeing and motorway connections. The rooms, although basic, offer warm amenities like tea and coffee facilities but feel somewhat tired and oddly placed under a stairway. The service was exceptional, with extremely helpful and lovely staff who made me feel welcome, although there was a slight delay in being served. The dining experience was satisfactory with a good selection but lacked freshness in the food. Overall, a budget-friendly option for an overnight stop but not up to usual standards in terms of location and structural appeal.

The hotel had a mix of positive and negative aspects. The rooms appeared a bit tired and could use some redecoration, reminiscent of an older holiday camp. However, they were classified as non-smoking. The service was a bit inconsistent, with some staff being unhelpful and rude while others were excellent and very friendly, particularly the Manager. The location was good and spacious, conveniently placed for our needs with easy access to the town center and close to the Millau Viaduct. There was also a decent restaurant nearby, which was a bonus. The dining experience was a bit disappointing, a bit on the expensive side with limited hours, but it did offer excellent value with regional products. The facilities were overall satisfactory but could be improved.

The hotel felt like something from a Butlins holiday camp 40 years ago, with a mix of pros and cons. The room had some maintenance issues, but it was warm, comfortable, and even had a bath. The service was a bit of a rollercoaster - one staff member was friendly and bubbly while another made a meal disaster. The location was where we wanted to be for the night but was 2km from a telephone exchange. The dining experience was of the best with excellent value, although there were some inconsistencies in service. Overall, the facilities were adequate although slightly outdated but the homemade local products were a nice touch.

The hotel feels more like a motel with rooms accessible from the outside, making it stuffy. The beds are comfy, but ventilation is lacking. The compact layout maximizes space but limits fresh air circulation.

Although the rooms could use an update, they were still clean and tidy, with much-appreciated air conditioning. However, the lack of English television channels was disappointing. The hotel is situated in a picturesque countryside location, but some aspects like the rotting wooden panel behind the toilet could use attention.
